My name is Gowri Savoor and I am a British-born visual artist, of South Indian heritage, currently residing in Vermont, USA.

I am passionate about teaching, especially at a youth and community level, which I feel is a necessary part of my artistic practice. I have been creating and teaching Rangoli, (amongst other arts activities) for the past 10 years, first in the UK, and now in the US and internationally.
It is important for me to keep my cultural heritage alive, and I do this through ongoing research into the craft, performing Rangoli in public spaces and conducting workshops with the public and within the education system.
